Châtillon is a village situated in the middle section of the Aosta valley, rich in history and particularly in roman ruins. Relevant examples are the arch bridge on the river Marmore (rising at approximately 40m from the water level) and the Paleo-Christian tombstones. It equally presents noteworthy medieval remains such as the Ussel Castle (the earliest example of stronghold rectangular on plan dating from 1350), which hosts important regional exhibitions, the Passerin d’Entrèves Castle (still occupied by the owners and considered to have the finest furniture in the region, as well as surrounded by an historical parkland open to visitors), the Baron Gamba Castle (home to the Regional Centre of Modern Art and also surrounded by an historical parkland open to visitors), the Château des Rives (also known as Saint-Clair, probably a Templar castle, a portion of the main walls of which is still standing). In terms of modern antiquity Châtillon has the only example of cast iron furnace in the Valley, used by the Napoleonic army and lastly operated for the construction of the Mole Antonelliana in Turin.

Our hotel particularly suit those wishing to visit our Valley, as it is within easy reach of the major skiing resorts. The nearest ones are: Chamois, Valtournenche (with the option of crossing over into Cervinia and cross-border skiing to Zermatt in Switzerland), Breuil Cervinia, Torgnon, La Magdeleine, Col de Joux, Brusson, Ayas Champoluc (with the option of crossing over into Gressoney and Alagna), Pila, La Thuile (with the option of cross-border skiing to La Rosière in France) and Courmayeur.

The village of Saint-Vincent and the city of Aosta are located within near distance and so are the Ussel Castle (home to the centre for regional exhibitions), the Baron Gamba Castle (home to the Regional Centre of Modern Art), the Fenis Castle, the Fortress of Bard (home to the Museum of the Alps), the Issogne, Sarriod de la Tour, Saint-Pierre and Verrès castles.

Our hotel is the ideal stop to visit the renowned and fashionable villages of Saint-Vincent, Breuil-Cervinia, Champoluc, Courmayeur, Gressoney, Cogne, La Thuile or the Pre-Saint-Didier Spa, as well as other tourist resorts famous for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
